PREREQUISITES FOR BECOMING LIKE JESUS 2
"Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls." Matt.11:28,29.
Lest we forget, to have the image (nature) of God and of Christ all that is expected on the part of man is to submit to the Lordship of the Lord Jesus as it has been ordained by Jehovah God. But to become like Jesus in living practical godly, holy and acceptable life, we MUST strive under grace to cooperate with the indwelling Holy Spirit in this fiercely hostile environment created daily to oppose godliness in the world.
How do we show our cooperation? BY DAILY YIELDING OUR NECKS TO THE YOKE OF CHRIST.
This is entering into a covenant relationship with Christ and respecting the terms of the covenant every blessed day.
Have you entered this covenant relationship with Christ O comrade but it seems you lack the strength to keep your own part of the terms of the covenant? Don't be discouraged, rise again on the arm of grace and He shall sustain you.
May grace be multiplied unto you.
