3. Defending the faith even if it takes dying for it.
"Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints." Jude 3
Why do you think every joke that mimick the Holy Spirit and His move become readily acceptable to the world? Why do you think every religion, culture and ideology in this world work in perfect harmony against this faith? Why do you think the world invest so much into reseaches just to falsify the Bible and arrive at conclusions either that the Bible is not God's word (to those who believe there's a God) or that there is no personal God?
It is because "light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil." John 3:19.
O comrade, everything on earth is arranged and organized to quench the light of the gospel; laws are enacted, beliefs are promoted, cultures are inculcated, principles are put in place to make sure the gospel of salvation through Christ never have a breathing space talk more of spreading and those who will stand by the gospel will have to do so at the detriment of their rights and privileges and in fact, some many times their lives.
All of these do not affect you if all you do is go to church, pursue worldly gains etc. But when you stand by the genuine gospel to live as light in this world.
"For whosoever will save his life shall lose it; but whosoever shall lose his life for my sake and the gospel's, the same shall save it." Mark 8:35
Meditate on this.
May we be strengthened in our inner man to indeed stand.
