FANING THE IMPUTED RIGHTEOUSNESS

"But the Day of the Lord will come like a thief. On that day the heavens will disappear with a roaring sound, the elements will be destroyed by fire, and the earth and everything done on it will be exposed. Since everything will be destroyed in this way, think of the kind of holy and godly people you ought to be...But in keeping with his promise, we are looking forward to new heavens and a new earth, where righteousness is at home. So then, dear friends, since you are looking forward to this, MAKE EVERY EFFORT to have the Lord find you at peace and without spot or fault."

Every human being is born with the capacity to drive a car but to actually drive one, there must be a deliberate effort to put the inherent capability to work through learning. That a person is born human does not automatically makes him know how to cook even though he has the capacity to know how to cook, that capacity will only find expression through deliberate learning effort.
When a man gets born again, he has every capacity inherent in him to live godly, righteous, holy and victorious Christian life. But it will not automatically find expression, there is the place of deliberately and consciously disciplining one's self to live the life.
O comrade, don't be deceived, God has done His part by giving you the capability through the indwelling Holy Spirit and YOU will have to cooperate with God by working out YOUR OWN salvation with fear and trembling through discipline. Lest you lose out of relevance and probably die in the end.
May the Lord grant you grace to see this.
