"Pay everyone what is owed: taxes to whom taxes are due, revenue to whom revenue is due, respect to whom respect is due, honor to whom honor is due." Rom.13:7 NET
It is unethical for a person who calls him/herself a Christian to evade tax or disrespect those to whom respect is due or dishonour those to whom honour is due.
O comrade, do not forget it is a biblical injunction that we owe no man anything whatsoever except to keep loving them. Rom. 13:8
Are you owing someone anything today: are you owing government any year's tax? Go and settle it. Are you owing your friends/neighbours anything? Go and pay them back. Do you disrespect those you ought to respect? Go and apologize and repent.
If you are owing anyone and you don't have the wherewithal to pay now, intimate them about your inability and assure them of your willingness to pay.
