"For whosoever will save his life shall lose it; but whosoever shall lose his life for my sake and the gospel's, the same shall save it." Mark 8:35
O comrade, the truth is no one who chose to lose their lives because of the love they have for the Lord in the entire Bible eventually lost it; all of them got their lives preserved and at the end brought glory to the name of the Lord. Check from Abraham to Ruth to Esther to Daniel to the three Hebrew boys to even the apostles. Which of these did not bring glory to the Lord when they decided to put their lives on the line?
O comrade, until we are ready to die for what we believe, we are not worth living for it. If we must bring glory to the name of our God in our generation, we must hate our lives as the Lord has recommended.
