Jehovah being a jealous God can tolerate all of Man's misdeeds but sharing the same throne with anyone or anything.
No man is ever independent in life; if you are not having Jehovah through His Spirit on the throne of your life, you will definitely have the devil on it either directly or through self or sin.
Every other gods can agree to share the throne in a man's life but not Jehovah. It is either He sits alone or stands up from the throne. By His nature He promulgated a law "Thou shalt have no other god beside me". The law to which obedience touches God directly.
Over the years, this law had been hard for men to keep (as satan, sin and self overpower men to sit on the throne of their lives) hence the outpouring of grace as divine enabling assistance born out of the love God has for the whole world.
Grace therefore enables man to keep Jehovah on the throne of his life without self struggle because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts. Knowing that no man that loves God with the whole of his heart will ever stand Jehovah up from the throne of his life. The law of life in Christ Jesus therefore says "Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with the whole of your heart..."
O comrade, do you really love God? Do you even aknowledge Him as God? Is He the ONLY object of worship in your life? Does self indulgence, Sin and/or Satan not contend daily with Him over the throne of your life?
Check please and give Him the sole proprietorship of your life and He shall receive your worship.
