PRAYING ARIGHT

"And this is the confidence (the assurance, the privilege of boldness) which we have in Him: [we are sure] that if we ask anything (make any request) ACCORDING TO HIS WILL (IN AGREEMENT WITH HIS OWN PLAN), He listens to and hears us." 1 John 5:14 AMP.

Getting answers to prayers is not based on how many hours is spent in the process or how eloquent we are in the place of prayer but in praying aright. How then can we pray aright?
1. By asking, not as an abuser of grace or a law breaker but as a man with clear conscience before God 1John 3:21-23;
2. By asking in faith unwavering James 1: 5-6
3. By asking selflessly James 4:3
4. By asking for what He has promised us either through fresh revelation or the written word (those are His revealed will)
5. By asking in Jesus' name
If we keep His commandments and live a life controlled by the Holy Spirit- a life pleasing in His sight, not having guilt in our hearts; if we stand by an unwavering faith in the place of prayer; if we are not asking anything out of a wrong motive; if we ask for things within the confines of his will for us and if we pray in Jesus' name we can be sure He hears us. This is praying aright.
