But what exactly did God do for man in Christ?
He delivered the souls of man from the power and the grip of sin which makes man walk in sinfulness. In short, it means God has saved man from sinfulness by breaking the power of sin nature through the death of Christ. Hallelujah!
"She will bear a Son, and you shall call His name Jesus [the Greek form of the Hebrew Joshua, which means Savior], for He will save His people from their sins [that is, prevent them from failing and missing the true end and scope of life, which is God]." Matt.1:21 AMP.
But since the good news is not mere information, man's responses to it (from the first time man hears it to the end of his earthly existence) will determine whether he is saved (Eph.2:8), maintains himself in the salvation found only in Christ (John 15:5,6) and will be saved in the hereafter (Matt.24:13)
O comrade, check if your first response to the gospel (which birthed your first love) is still intact. If it's getting weak, repent and maintain your first response and you shall be saved. Rev.2:1-5.
