As said prior to this, even though Jehovah God created man with free will and truly permitted him to make his choice, He wants man to freely, deliberately and willingly choose Him as Lord over his life without inflicting fear or terror on him.
But unlike other gods, Jehovah God cannot tolerate partners.
Why does He want full worship/devotion? It is because every other gods are false but He alone.
"I, and I alone, am God; no other god is real. I kill and give life, I wound and I heal, and no one can oppose what I do" Deut.32:39 GNB.
Every other gods are either claiming to be ways through which men can access Him or they are imposters.
Check O comrade, whom have you chosen as your Lord? Jehovah the Holy One of Israel or an imposter?
