Even though Jehovah respects our choices and will not force His will on us, there are several disadvantages to not choosing to submit to Him and give Him full worship.
Of all the disadvantages, we shall look into two that stand as summary of all of the disadvantages.
The first disadvantage is that a life not surrendered to Him in full worship is lived in misery.
"Their sorrows shall be multiplied that hasten after another god:..." Psalms 16:4a
Those who either reject the sovereignty and Lordship of Jehovah over their lives or live double lives never enjoys the peace and joy that flow from the source of humanity.
Since the kingdom of Jehovah God is the kingdom of Righteousness, Peace and Joy (Rom.14:17), those who do not submit to Him do not have His presence and no matter how religious, wealthy, poor, popular they are, if they will be sincere, they will tell people how they wish to have rest that comes from peace and joy as they are enabled not by the law to live righteously but by grace.
There is a misery that attends lives that are not connected to their source; they struggle all day to be connected back to life but mostly, the enemy of their souls will debar them from embracing Life (John 14:6; Matt.11:28,29)
Whom do you choose O comrade? Jehovah God or other gods that didn't create anything? The choice is yours.
