CONTINUAL PURGING OF THE SANCTIFIED 5

"I am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman.
Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and every branch that beareth fruit, he PURGETH it, that it may bring forth more fruit." John 15:1,2.
A young man asked in one of our programmes "Why do believers still pray for purging? Are we not sanctified already? If no, explain in the light of Hebrews 10:10."
That was an intelligent question but it is clear the young man and perhaps his teachers are destitutes in the knowledge of the wholesome word of God.
If a man interprets the word of God out of context, it will be to the detriment of his own soul.
In the light of the aforementioned truths that a believer must believe about or know in the word of God, it is clear that Hebrews 10:10 does not mean "By the which will we are sanctified once for all through the offering of the body of Christ" but means "By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all".
O comrade, did you note any difference in the renditions above? Believing the first one puts you in error but believing the second one keeps you on course.
Lest we weary you out by reading lengthy write up, we will explain the difference better tomorrow by God's grace.
Keep yourself O comrade away from those deceivers who twist the word of God to the damnation of their hearers.
May the Lord grant us clearer understanding of His word in Jesus'name.
